Tomorrow

“Do it tomorrow,” Pharaoh said. [Exodus 8.10]

In much of today's OYCB reading, "tomorrow" or "the next morning" was the timing for the events described.  Why tomorrow?  Why the next day?

If one was going to seek relief from a plague (like frogs), why not seek that relief today?  Likewise God, more times than not, instructed Moses to take a next action the next day.

While it may be that the timing of these events is inconsequential, it remains unexplained just the same.  I don't know why it matters to me except that if I were experiencing a plague, I would want relief as soon as possible, and, given the choice, I would choose relief today!

Father, I probably shouldn't even focus on the timing of the plagues as described in Exodus.  However, I believe there is something to be learned in every detail of Your Story - help me to understand the meaning of both Pharoah's and Your time preference for tomorrow.
