Journey On

Plant and harvest your crops for six years, but let the land be renewed and lie uncultivated during the seventh year.  Then let the poor among you harvest whatever grows on its own.  Leave the rest for wild animals to eat.  The same applies to your vineyards and olive groves. [Exodus 23.10-11]

I have no idea why this passage stood out to me today.  I am not even a farmer.

Concurrent with this day's reading, I had an unusual experience where I dreamed about someone from the past.  I have no idea what the dream itself was about, but I distinctly know this certain person was in the dream.  So, I sent an email to the only email addresses I still had on file for this person - one of the addresses already kicked back as un-deliverable.

I guess the thing that 'registered' in my head with the scripture above was that my wife and I lived in the place we knew the person in this dream for six years (on the mission field) and then we returned to the USA. It has been over eight years since our return.

I am only writing this here to record something that could just be bizarre - but, in case its something more, I want it in writing...

Father, sometimes things happen that are totally un-explainable, I know.  Please help me to 'stay the course' on this journey I am on and 'journey on' in complete obedience to You!
