Benjamin’s sons were Bela, Beker, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard. [Genesis 46.21]
Well. In regard to my post yesterday about Benjamin being a "boy" (ref. Judah speaking in Gen. 44.22: But we said to you, ‘My lord, the boy cannot leave his father, for his father would die.’), I guess the word "boy" is relative to his position in the family, not his actual years of life... I don't know of any "boys" with ten children!
So the timeframe of all these events in Genesis is even longer than I had originally thought!
I suppose I just have a mind block regarding the ages of Jacob's descendants.
What else in the Bible have I erroneously assumed to be one way but it is actually another?
Father, help me to never assume I know what the Bible is saying! But to the contrary, help me to read and learn from the Bible fresh and new every time I read it!
