And this is the basic law of the Temple: absolute holiness! The entire top of the mountain where the Temple is built is holy. Yes, this is the basic law of the Temple. [Ezekiel 43.12]
Absolute holiness. Do we have any idea what that looks like? I think not.
I believe this requirement however is what introduces us to the absolute necessity of Jesus.
Because our righteousness is as filthy rags before God, there is simply no way we can fulfil the absolute holiness requirement. But Jesus did. And, Jesus said that if we only believe, we may share in the benefit of His absolute holiness!
Good plan! Thank God!
Father, thank You for Jesus. I am reminded again today just how perfect Your plan to redeem mankind was and is!
